Posthumus Institute (NWP) is the Research School for Economic and Social History in the Netherlands and Flanders. It forms a durable platform for collaboration among scholars in the field of economic and social history, including non-Western history, world history and social-cultural history.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p_pagvld_8265376_0 css-text-align-left\">The N.W. Posthumus Institute promotes innovative and advanced interdisciplinary research in economic and social history by stimulating joint research programmes of participating institutes. Next to a PhD training in economic and social history, the NWP also provides a four-course programme for Research Master students.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/posthumusinstitute.org\/about\/history\/\"><button class=\"button button-primary frm_submit btn button.icon:after\">History of NWP \u00a0\u00a0<\/button><\/a><br \/>\n<a href=\"whoiswho\"><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"p_pagvld_8265376_2 css-text-align-left\">Who is who?<\/h2>\n<p><\/a><br \/>\nThe day-to-day management of the N.W. Posthumus Institute lies with the staff, currently hosted at Utrecht University and existing of the Scientific Director, the Education Programme Director, and the Office Manager. The staff members are supported by several committees. The PhD candidates enrolled with the N.W. Posthumus Institute\u00a0 are represented through PhD-representatives. The overall governance lies with the General Board, which is supported by an Academic Advisory Board.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/posthumusinstitute.org\/about\/who-is-who\/\"><button class=\"button button-primary frm_submit btn button.icon:after\">Who is who? \u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 <\/button><\/a><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"p_pagvld_8265376_2\" class=\"p_pagvld_8265376_2 css-text-align-left\">Administrative support<\/h2>\n<p class=\"p_pagvld_8265376_2 css-text-align-left\">The administrative office rotates every fifth year between the <a href=\"https:\/\/posthumusinstitute.org\/participating-institutes\">universities and research institutes<\/a> cooperating in the Posthumus Institute.<\/p>\n<p>As of 1 July 2021, the administrative office of the NWP is hosted by the Department of History &amp; Art History of Utrecht University.
