This year&#8217;s central theme was &#8216;Food Inequalities&#8217;, a thema that was also the main topic of two highly interesting keynote lectures, delivered by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tcd.ie\/history\/staff\/susan-flavin.php\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Dr Susan Flavin<\/a> (Trinity College Dublin, The University of Dublin and Principal Investigator of the <a href=\"https:\/\/foodcult.eu\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">ERC Funded Project FoodCult<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/researchportal.vub.be\/en\/persons\/peter-scholliers\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">emeritus Professor Peter Scholliers<\/a> (Vrije Universiteit Brussel).<\/p>\n<p>The conference comprised presentations of PhDs currently involved in the <a href=\"https:\/\/posthumusinstitute.org\/phd-basic-training\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">PhD Training Programme of the N.W. Posthumus Institute<\/a> as well as meetings and presentations of the <a href=\"https:\/\/posthumusinstitute.org\/research-networks\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Research networks of the N.W. Posthumus Institute<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The N.W. Posthumus Institute wants to express its warmest thanks to all participants, but particularly to our keynotes and the hosts team at Antwerp University, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uantwerpen.be\/en\/staff\/tim-soens\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Professor Tim Soens<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uantwerpen.be\/en\/staff\/stef-espeel_16244\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Dr Stef Espeel<\/a> for making this conference such a wonderful event.<\/p>\n<p>The N.W.
