Multidisciplinary approaches to health inequalities, 1800-2022\u2019<\/a>, led by Radboud University, invite all stakeholders and all those interested to join the (hybrid) kick-off meeting of this initiative on 2 May 2024.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;The Great Leap&#8217; has been selected by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cost.eu\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">European Cooperation in Science and Technology (COST)<\/a> to undertake a comprehensive exploration of the historical origins and driving factors behind health inequalities across regions and countries in Europe and beyond. The network connected to &#8216;The Great Leap&#8217; includes a wide range of academic expertise in history, social sciences, life sciences and epidemiology and involves university-, research-, government- and (international) health institutes and organizations, including statistical offices and national archives. Aim of &#8216;The Great Leap&#8217; is to foster collaboration, share insights, and catalyse action in addressing pressing health disparities through providing a historical long-term perspective via <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cost.eu\/actions\/CA22116\/#tabs+Name:Working%20Groups%20and%20Membership\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">five consecutive subprojects<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Attending the kick-off meeting is open to all interested, but <strong>prior registration is requested<\/strong>.
